National Economic Crime Centre

The National Economic Crime Centre (NECC) is a multi-agency centre established in 2018 to deliver a step change in the UK's response to economic crime. The NECC corrals the collective efforts of law enforcement, regulators, government departments and the private sector to optimise our collective impact on the economic crime threat. The NECC is house in the NCA and works alongisde the UK Financial Intelligence Unit (UKFIU) and Proceeds of Crime Centre (PoCC) to deliver our mission. The NECC is a partnership between a growing number of partners collaborating across the public and private sectors. This collaboration is fundamental to our success.



Corporate Business Services (CBS)

The CBS command enables the operational capability of the NCA to protect the public from serious and organised crime.

Our CBS teams have responsibility for Estates, Business Services, Finance and Commercial functions and the Concordis Programme across the NCA. We have a range of roles available across Corporate Business Services.

Business Areas

Estates

The Estates department is responsible for the maintenance of our buildings ensuring our accommodation remains legally compliant, supports operational activity and provides a safe, secure and motivating place to work. The team is often the first point of contact for building and estates incident management. Day to day activity is varied from engaging with contractors and suppliers to gain best value for money for services supplies to responding to calls for building maintenance.

Finance

The Finance team provide effective and timely financial and management reports, in line with business requirements and both statutory and regulatory duties, including supporting documentation to audit standard, ensuring that NCA complies with general accounting standards and internal corporate governance requirements. The Finance Management Team also help Commands develop budget and savings proposals to inform the negotiations on future budget delegations.

Commercial

The Commercial department deliver high quality and professional procurement and contract management service. The department is responsible for ensuring that the purchase of all goods and services for the NCA are made in a legally compliant manner and that sustainable and environmental issues are considered during the process. The department work directly to the NCA’s Chief Financial Officer and procurement activity spread over a 10 category structure, with each category being led by a Senior Commercial Manager and supporting commercial professionals.

Business Services

Business Services is comprised of many different functions with the purpose of delivering a suite of activities to support operational delivery. From managing front line services and equipment, tailored to suit the business needs. Each team within Business Services have specific and niche functions such as Fleet, Sustainability, Organisational Services, Business Management and Projects.

Concordis

The Concordis programme is responsible for delivering the aims of the NCA Estate strategy, which seeks to transform the size and shape of our UK footprint to meet the changing needs of the NCA. The programme is wide ranging and covers everything from building enhancements, through to partnership arrangements and securing new sites.
