Fraud Explained is a public awareness campaign from the National Crime Agency designed to help people understand the tactics criminals use to commit fraud, the warning signs to watch out for, and the simple steps you can take to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Through a series of short explainer videos, the campaign explores common types of fraud, reveals the tactics criminals use to appear legitimate, and provides practical advice to help protect your money, personal information and accounts.

By increasing public awareness, the campaign aims to build confidence, encourage vigilance and support fraud prevention across the UK.
