Dean Eighteen is accused of submitting false VAT repayment claims on behalf of two companies Transome Ltd and Blue Ferns Ltd, of which he was the sole director. He claimed that he was exporting cars to Asia, and reclaiming the VAT on these exports, when in reality the cars were not exported as they did not exist. The total VAT fraudulently claimed was £7.8 million.
