Protecting the public from serious and organised crime

This accessibility statement applies to the National Crime Agency. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.

The National Crime Agency is committed to making this website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

How accessible this website is

Based on our automated scan using axe-core 4.10.2 (WCAG 2.2 Level AA):

National Crime Agency is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard.

This statement is based on automated testing only. Automated tools cannot check every success criterion, so this reflects the absence of failures our scan can detect rather than a full manual audit.

Pages in scope: 674

Conformance (pages with no A/AA violations): 100.0%

Note: the cookie consent banner, and any settings panel it opens, were not tested by the automated scan, which closes the banner before checking each page. The figures above do not cover the banner.

Note: 34 addresses listed for this website returned an error rather than a page, and were not treated as pages of the website for the figures above.

Note: 51 frames embedded in 34 pages of this website, for example a reCAPTCHA security check or an embedded video, could not be tested: the automated test cannot look inside them. Those pages are included in the figures above; the content inside the frames is not included.

Limited examples of potential non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

Some of the PDFs and other documents published on this website may not be fully accessible to screen reader software or other assistive technology. Our checks found some documents that:

  • are scanned images of pages, so the words cannot be read out by a screen reader,
  • searched or copied (WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 Non-text content)
  • have no tags marking up their headings, lists and reading order (WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 Info and relationships)
  • do not say what language they are written in (WCAG 2.2 success criterion 3.1.1 Language of page)
  • have no document title, so the file name is announced instead (WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.2 Page titled)

As part of our ongoing content review process, we are working through these documents to make necessary updates. Where the original source file still exists, we will publish an accessible version or move the content into a web page. Where a document is no longer needed, we will remove it. If you need information from one of these documents in a different format, please contact us using the details under “Feedback and contact information” and we will help.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 30 September 2026. It was last reviewed on 31 August 2026.

This website was last tested on 30 September 2026. Testing combined an automated scan of 674 pages using axe-core 4.10.2 against WCAG 2.2 Level AA with manual review. The manual review examined the results from the automated scan and initiated re-checks of pages and tested keyboard navigation and focus visibility on key pages. Issues highlighted were then fixed on the NCA website. 674 pages were in scope for the test. A further 34 addresses returned an error rather than a page and were not tested.

Next review due: 30 August 2027.
